Our passion for horses places us in the unique position of stewardship to the horse. As stewards, we take on many roles: Caretaker, leader, teacher, and advocate ... to name a few.

Stewardship is progressive, and not just protective of the status quo. It blends valid traditions with useful advancements to create more benefit to the horse.

As a result, horses are more willing, refined, and responsive ... taking our relationships with them to new levels in the show ring and on the trail.

A true horse lover has a hard time describing this passion. Who knows whether our passion for horses is programmed into our genetic coding, or if we acquire it along the way? All we know is that our lives would somehow seem incomplete without them. We have arranged our lives to include them. The sacrifices have been long and hard at times. Why, we ask ourselves, couldn’t we just be happy doing something else? The answer is we just can’t and we don’t try to justify it. Our paths were meant to be intertwined.

Through understanding the true nature of the horse and the mental, emotional and physical aspects therein, a steward is able to make informed decisions regarding the welfare and comfort of the horse, in addition to choosing appropriate training methods and activities, both competitive and recreational.

The path of stewardship has many advantages. Our horses become more willing, refined and responsive ... taking our partnerships to new level in the show ring and on the trail.
